How do nonogram clues work?

Each number lists a run of consecutive inked cells in that row or column, in order, with at least one blank cell between runs. "3 1" means three in a row, a gap, then one.

Do InkGrid puzzles ever require guessing?

How to play InkGrid

Each row and column has number clues: they list the runs of inked cells in order, with at least one blank between runs. Cross-reference rows against columns to deduce every cell — ink with ■ mode, mark definite blanks with ✕ (right-click on desktop) — and the hidden pixel picture reveals itself. Tips & strategy

Start with the biggest numbers: on a 10-wide line, a "10" fills everything and an "8" pins six centre cells no matter where it slides.
Mark blanks aggressively — a completed clue tells you the rest of its line is empty, and those ✕s unlock the crossing lines.
When a row is satisfied its clues fade. If a fade surprises you, re-check the crossing columns before continuing.
